I have some words of advice – formulated after a short visit to England, a few years ago, for my parents’ 60th wedding anniversary. My words of wisdom have nothing to do with marriage or travel but are related to how we women dress.
While enjoying the only good cup of coffee we had while in the UK, my son and husband watched a woman enter the café and as my back was to the door I didn’t immediately notice what their raised eyebrows were referring to. The woman in question was smartly dressed above the waist in a short tailored jacket and blouse – however below the waist, and from the rear, her outfit was shocking. She was wearing fairly shear back leggings (I’m being kind) with a pair of very visible colored underpants! Because I’m a shoe girl I was aware of the acceptable booties she had on her feet that would have looked perfect with a pair of skinny jeans, or any jeans for that matter and the rest of her ensemble. What was she thinking? Maybe she doesn’t have a full length mirror at home but ladies please you have to do the 3 point check before leaving the house – front, back and sides! If you don’t have a full length mirror – ask someone you trust how you look!
We at Terston will always give you an honest opinion and those of you who know me will know that when you step out of the dressing room and ask “what do you think?” I always ask you to turn for me because you need to look as good coming as you do going!
